Heikki Haasmaa appointed as CEO of Destia – Tero Kiviniemi takes on Northern Europe leadership role within the Colas Group

Destia has appointed Heikki Haasmaa, M.Sc. (Tech.), 47, as its new Chief Executive Officer. Current CEO Tero Kiviniemi is taking on a Northern Europe leadership role within the Colas Group.

Heikki Haasmaa will assume the role no later than 1 March 2026. He joins Destia from Sitowise, where he has served as CEO. Prior to Sitowise, he held several leadership positions at Kone.

Tero Kiviniemi will continue in his role until the transition is completed. He will also remain Chairman of the Board, ensuring continuity during the leadership change, while continuing to lead Colas’ Northern Europe activities following his appointment to this role earlier in 2025.

Destia is the largest provider of infrastructure services in Finland, designing, building, and maintaining functional infrastructure for the transportation, industrial, and energy sectors. Destia employs approximately 1,900 people across Finland and is part of the international Colas Group, which operates in over 50 countries. Colas is a subsidiary of the global multi-sector group Bouygues.
