High-power EV charging enhances the visitor experience at Vermo racecourse
As electric mobility continues to grow rapidly, so does the demand for reliable charging infrastructure. EV charging facilities are increasingly needed wherever people work, shop and spend their leisure time. Vermo Racecourse, located on the border of Espoo and Helsinki, is Finland’s leading harness racing venue and attracts not only horse racing enthusiasts but also visitors attending a wide range of events and business lunches. In early 2025, we delivered a turnkey electric vehicle charging solution for Vermo’s parking area, including both the charging infrastructure and payment system.
The new high-power charging station was commissioned in spring 2025. It features eight charging points, comprising four AC charging bays and four high-power DC fast charging bays. The DC charging system provides a total output of 300 kW.
The charging station uses the payment application of the Finnish charging operator Evenli, together with a card payment terminal supplied by Destia. A single payment terminal manages payments and controls the start and end of charging sessions for all eight charging points.
The project was delivered on a turnkey basis, covering the design, supply and installation of the charging equipment.
