Traffic planning is an important part of land use planning. You can implement seamless and safe traffic and mobility at every stage of the planning project.
We design diverse traffic solutions primarily from the viewpoints of user safety and good service levels. Our starting point is interactivity, good knowledge of the customer’s operating environment and understanding the needs of people to achieve a good result.
Our customers include, e.g. municipalities, Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centres), the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency, Traficom and businesses. Depending on the customer’s requirements, we provide services from a detailed level to a regional level and from a municipal level to the national level as well as to the traffic hub and connection levels.
Our services include co-design coordination, area reservation and feasibility reports, preliminary and general designs, connection reports, diverse traffic system designs and reports, etc. We can also draw up sustainable and safe mobility plans, traffic safety plans, traffic control reports and road safety assessments. We also assist the authorities, for example, with continuous traffic safety operator services and processing initiatives. In addition, we prepare traffic plans, perform feasibility reviews, modelling and simulations as well as assess the effects of traffic projects.
We have access to a large number of simulation and modelling software (EMME, Vissim, SimTraffic/Synchro and Paramics), location data software (the ESRI software family), our own location data services (iLIITU, Destia’s location data portal, comprehensive location data materials), CAD-based software and other essential traffic and traffic safety planning tools. With regard to our design and planning projects, we conduct the required traffic and mobility surveys and arrange the required questionnaire surveys and user panels.
