Hey, you future infrastructure expert!

Would you like to be involved in building infrastructure for people?

Each year, we employ up to 300 trainees and on-the-job learners in various work tasks. The majority of trainees work with us during the summer months, but it is also possible to do internships all year round. In addition, we offer opportunities for thesis work.

We hope that after your internship, you will have strengthened your competence and professional skills in a variety of infrastructure tasks. We would like you to stay with us even after your internship and offer a comprehensive range of career paths, for example, project management, specialist and design jobs. As part of the international Colas Group, we are also constantly promoting international career path opportunities – even during internships!

Summer internship

We offer almost 300 internships every year, the majority of which are open for the summer season. With us, you can intern in both construction work and management, and we are happy to employ skilled trainees who show initiative also throughout the year alongside studies.

Writing a thesis

Internships are a good opportunity to get acquainted with our work, and we often offer opportunities to carry out a thesis as a continuation of the internship. The topic of the thesis often arises from the areas of research or development observed in everyday work.

Future outlook

We hope that our trainees will stay with us for a long time already during their studies as well as after their graduation. As Finland’s largest infrastructure company, we offer a wide range of career, training and development opportunities in various jobs, business areas and internationally with Colas. We support everyone’s individual wishes and goals, as well as continuous learning.

Active cooperation with educational institutions

We cooperate actively with higher education institutions and upper secondary vocational education institutions in the field of infrastructure education, as well as student associations and guilds.

Through cooperation with educational institutions, we want to promote our reputation among students, discuss professional development and career opportunities, participate in training and teaching, offer site visits and excursions to our projects, participate in students’ innovation projects, and ensure continuous learning and development opportunities for our employees.

You can meet our employees nationwide in the events, courses, and online channels of many educational institutions, such as Aalto University, Metropolia, the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Applied Sciences, the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences, and Lapland University of Applied Sciences.
